Length of Program All classes schedules are dependent on enrollment. Some classes may not enroll if registration is low.

525- Hour Professional Massage Therapy Licensure Program
The 525-Hour Program enrolls every Spring and Fall. The Full time program meets Monday through Friday, both day or evening for 6 months of training. The Part time program meets 2 to 3 days/evenings per week for 12 months. Class Time: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and 6 pm to 10:30 pm

125- Hour Master Practitioner Certification Program
The Master Practitioner program trains recent graduates in three advanced disciplines that support structural, medical, and athletic improvement. Curriculum includes extensive clinical protocols, advanced anatomy and physiology, and client-education strategies. The curriculum includes 45 hours of CORE Myofascial Therapy, 40 hours of Medical Massage, and 40 hours of Sports Massage.  This is a 3 month weekend program.

Tuition is to be paid in full on or before the first day of class, unless the Financial Director arranges a monthly payment schedule. top

APPLICATION & REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Admission Requirements
  • To reserve a space in the 525-Hour Professional Massage Therapy Licensure Program, a $100 registration fee, along with the required documents listed below, must be received with the application.
    PLEASE NOTE: If the program you register for does not meet its minimum enrollment number, then this particular Program may be cancelled. Please indicate a first and second choice for the term you are registering for on the application.
  • 18 years of age at time of enrollment

  • Copy of a high school diploma or GED Certificate, or a college diploma.

  • Completed Student Application Form.
  • One letter of reference from sources other than family. One should come from an employer and/or professional associate.
  • Have received a full body massage therapy sesssion from a licensed massage therapist
    Our goal is to ensure that each applicant can practice the giving and receiving massage in a classroom environment prior to beginning massage school.

Interview
After the registration application is received, an interview with a member of the Admission Interview Committee is required, The interview is conducted in person, or by phone if necessary. top
Enrollment Agreement
The Enrollment Agreement is required by the Commission for Independent Education, and must be signed by the student upon acceptance into the CORE Institute. When signed, The Enrollment Agreement officially enrolls you in school, and includes tuition payments schedule, refund policy and dismissal policy. top
Credit for Previous Training
Transfer credit is awarded by the CORE Institute according to the rules established by the Florida Board of Massage Therapy and the Commission for Independent Education. No more than 25% of the hours of previous training will be eligible for transfer into CORE Institute's program.
CORE Institute must be provided with a certified transcript of the courses taken by the student from a licensed and approved school. The acceptance of credits earned at this Institution is at the discretion of the receiving school.

Courses must parallel in content and intensity the courses presently offered at the CORE Institute, as judged by the Institute's Administrative Review Board.

Documentation of previous training will be included in the student's permanent file.

CORE Institute reserves the right to test for competency in the transfer credit subject. There is a $25 fee for each subject tested. Please note that requirements for accepting transfer credit may differ in other states. top


Clock Hour
A "clock hour" shall be defined as no less than 50 minutes of one clock hour during which the student participates in a learning activity in the physical presence of a member of the faculty of the school. top

Program Cost

  • Registration Fee: $100
  • Tuition: 525 hour program(does not include books): $6700
  • Tuition: 125 hour Master Practitioner program: $1500
  • Book Fees: 525 hour program (approx) $500

The registration fee must accompany the application for admission to the school. The registration fee will be refunded in the event the student is not admitted to the school. top

Books and Supplies
Textbooks are purchased from the CORE Bookstore prior to the beginning of classes or on orientation day. The fees include Massage Oil, Lotion, Student Liability Insurance.

Book Refund Policy
Textbooks will be accepted for a 50% refund if returned within two weeks of purchase and are in original condition. top

Massage Tables
Massage Tables are available to purchase through the bookstore. A massage table purchase is not required for enrollment. top

Refund Policies
The refund policy for all students is as follows:
  1. For applicants who cancel within three business days of signing the enrollment agreement, or if application is rejected by the school, all monies will be fully refunded.
  2. For applicants who are accepted but fail to register or subsequently request cancellation before the first day of classes any tuition paid is fully refunded but the registration fee of $100.00 is retained.
  3. For students who enter school and begin training but withdraw within the first week, tuition is fully refunded but the application fee of $100.00 is retained.
  4. For students who leave after the first week but during the first quarter of the program, 25% of tuition and the $100.00 registration fee will be retained.
  5. For students who leave during the first 40% of the program, all monies except 40% of tuition and the $100.00 application fee will be retained.
  6. For students who leave after completing more than 40% of the Program, no monies are refunded.
  7. In case of prolonged illness, accident, death in the family, or other circumstances that make it impractical to complete the course, student and school will negotiate a reasonable settlement.
  8. For the purpose of computing refunds, the last date of actual attendance by the student will be considered the termination date.
  9. If the Core Institute has to cancel a class for whatever reason #(1) of the refund policy applies.
  10. Students that have been dismissed from the school will follow the normal refund policy.

Refunds are made directly to the student within 30 business days. CORE Institute reserves the right to terminate a student's enrollment after determination by the director and associate director that the student is not adaptable to the program of study. top

Veterans Policy
The CORE Institute has been approved by the State Approving Agency for financial assistance for eligible veterans. Students eligible for V.A. benefits must contact the financial officer. top

Veterans Attendance Policy
Excused absences will be granted for extenuating circumstances only. Excused absences will be substantiated by entries in the student's files. Early departures, class cuts, tardiness, etc., for any portion of an hour will be counted as a full hour of absence. Students exceeding three (3) days unexcused absences in a calendar month will be terminated for unsatisfactory attendance. Veterans Standards of Progress Policy VA Students falling below the "C" average on work will be put on academic probation for one month. At the end of the month, the VA will be notified to terminate benefits if the student has not attained a "C" average. top

Veterans Refund Policy
A refund will be issued for the unused portion of tuition, fees, and other charges. The refund will be issued to veterans, or eligible persons, who fail to enter, or withdraw, or discontinue the course prior to completion. The refund will be made for all amounts paid exceeding the approximate pro rata portion of the total charges (the length of the completed portion of the course bears to the total length of the course). The pro-ration will be determined on the ratio of hours of instruction completed by the student to total hours of course instruction. top

Monthly Payment Plan
The CORE Institute offers a monthly payment program for students who do not qualify for the long term Career Training Loans. This payment plan is limited to the length of the student's enrollment. The CORE Institute accepts Mastercard and Visa. top
