GeorgeWelcome to the
CORE Institute School of Massage Therapy!

Since 1990 over 1,000 students have graduated from the CORE Institute and began their careers as professional massage therapists. Like you, they were seeking a new direction in their lives, hoping to find satisfaction in a profession that embraces physical health, ethical principles, and humanitarian ideals. CORE Institute also offers advanced certification courses to massage therapists around the world who have chosen to specialize in Structural Integration, Myofascial Therapy, Medical Massage, or Sports Bodywork.

The CORE Institute offers a comprehensive curriculum taught by a dedicated faculty that focuses on knowledge, skills, and competencies that are necessary for the safe and effective delivery of therapeutic massage and bodywork. The coursework integrates clinical massage therapy skills with sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, pathology, and hydrotherapy. Students also learn the theory and practical issues of wellness, professional ethics, business management, and state regulations. Various massage modalities including sports massage, seated massage, shiatsu, traditional Chinese techniques, and pregnancy and infant massage are offered through a comprehensive section of Allied Modalities.

Graduates of the CORE Institute must pass the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork to become licensed in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and 35 other states across the U.S. Our graduates have successfully passed this examination at rates that significantly exceed both Florida and national percentages. Graduates have then embarked on careers that have placed them in massage clinics, hospitals, physical therapy centers, medical and chiropractic offices, spas and resorts, fitness facilities, and college and professional sports medicine departments. As America continues to move towards a health care system that emphasizes wellness, prevention, and optimal performance, the need for highly qualified massage therapists will be in great demand.

The CORE Institute is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association’s Council of Schools and the International Association of Structural Integrators approves us as an educational program. Our advanced certification programs and continuing education seminars are approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork and by the Florida Board of Massage Therapy. We are also approved for educational benefits by the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs.

If you are dedicated to improving the quality of life of those you serve, and to enhancing your physical, mental, and emotional levels, a career as a massage therapist may be the perfect choice for you at this time in your life. Please call to schedule a visit with us to discuss your future career and to secure all information regarding enrollment, tuition payment options, and class schedules.

Respectfully,
